1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using First Roll ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

First Roll provides an AI-powered welding sequence optimization service. Users upload fabrication drawings, and our system analyzes them to suggest optimal weld sequences designed to reduce position welds and improve efficiency.

Important: The optimization suggestions provided are recommendations based on AI analysis. Final welding decisions should be made by qualified professionals considering all relevant factors including safety, material specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

4.1 Plans

  • Free: 5 analyses per month
  • Shop ($49.99 CAD/month): Up to 50 analyses per month
  • Production ($149.99 CAD/month): Unlimited analyses, team features, batch processing

4.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing date.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data
  • Exceed your plan's usage limits through circumvention

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

The Service, including its software, design, algorithms, and content, is owned by First Roll and protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the drawings and files you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your files for the purpose of providing the optimization analysis.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Results will be accurate or reliable
  • The optimization suggestions will achieve specific outcomes

Performance claims (such as "reduce position welds by up to 40%") are based on typical results and may vary depending on project complexity, drawing quality, and other factors.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIRST ROLL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless First Roll from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which First Roll operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or prominent notice on the Service.
